Mike and Sandra embark on an ambitious retirement project, transforming a battered old barn on the edge of the lake district, into their forever home.
In Cumbria, after years of hard graft, Mike and Sandra have just bought themselves a ‘little’ retirement project – a two and a half acre abandoned farm with five outbuildings. And if converting all that wasn’t challenging enough, they’ve set themselves a very tight schedule to complete the build in just fourteen months.
But despite the crumbling roof and a tree growing out of what should be the kitchen, they’re determined to create their very own piece of paradise - complete with stunning views across the cumbrian countryside, with the expertise and good humour of their jocular Scots builder, Marty.
