American born Lisa loves old buildings and has always wanted to live in a chapel. After years of hunting for the perfect retirement pad for herself and husband Phil, it seemed all her prayers had been answered when they bagged a redundant Methodist chapel in Middleham in the heart of North Yorkshire.
Dating back more than two hundred years, their potential dream home comes with plenty of history – along with a leaking roof, rotten floors and crumbling lead windows, which could quickly smash a huge hole in their ever decreasing budget.
